Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran make a match berbantuan media flash card bergambar Panda Lucu (Dalu) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas I SDN 2 Wonokerso. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas I SDN 2 Wonokerso dengan skor tertinggi 40, minimnya penggunaan media dalam proses pembelajaran, dan pembelajaran kurang menarik sehingga siswa merasa cepat bosan, menjadi permasalahan dalam penelitian ini. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan tipe quasi eksperiment. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini berupa tes, observasi partisipan, dan studi dokumen digunakan sebagai pengukur kemampuan membaca membaca permulaan siswa. Tes yang digunakan adalah pretest dan posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah dua rombel pada kelas I SDN 2 Wonokerso yaitu kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah random sampling dengan sampel 32 siswa di kelas I dan telah dibagi menjadi dua rombel yaitu kelas eksperimen 16 siswa dan kelas kontrol 16 siswa. Hipotesis yang sesuai dalam penelitian ini adalah  diterima dan  ditolak. Analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis (t-tes). Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan dapat dijelaskan yaitu terdapat pengaruh rata-rata kelas eksperimen yaitu 51% dan kelas kontrol 44%. Penelitian ini juga mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan dalam jumlah rata-rata pretest kelas ekperimen yaitu 55,13 dan posttest yaitu 83,25, sedangkan pretest kelas kontrol yaitu 52,82 dan posttest yaitu 76,25. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh dan peningkatan kemampuan membaca permulaan dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia siswa di kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan model pembelajaran make a match berbantuan media flash card bergambar Panda Lucu (Dalu) lebih unggul dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional tanpa media apapun.
